Cookie Policy
This policy describes the cookies and browser storage technologies that WPTR currently uses to operate the website and application.
Overview
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. WPTR also uses browser storage technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage for limited product preferences and short-lived workspace state. This policy covers the technologies observed in the current WPTR implementation; it does not describe future analytics or advertising tools that are not part of the current web application.
LocalStorage and sessionStorage
WPTR stores the appearance preference (system, light, or dark) in localStorage under wptr:appearance. LocalStorage may also record whether certain product onboarding has been dismissed.
sessionStorage is used for short-lived browser state such as a draft started before entering chat, a temporary guest draft during an authentication flow, pending attachment context, and selected workspace handoffs. This information is scoped to the browser session and is not a replacement for authenticated account storage.
Your controls
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential session cookies may prevent WPTR from signing you in or keeping your session active. You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage through your browser controls; doing so may reset your appearance preference or discard short-lived drafts.
WPTR does not currently present a separate cookie-consent banner because the current web application does not load a verified non-essential analytics or marketing-cookie system. If that changes, this policy and the relevant consent behavior will need to be updated.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when WPTR's use of cookies or browser storage changes. Questions can be sent to CREAUP LLC at hello@wptr.com.
